Peace & Love International disbursed emergency first-aid equipment to the embattled shack-dwelling community of Gorachoqua, located in Hout Bay, Cape Town. The scarce supplies were dispersed in two hubs of refuge in the ghetto. Sisters who stayed behind during the first attack on September 20th have taken responsibility for ensuring access and care to the wounded in case of future attacks.
As always, Peace & Love International remains committed to complete accountability, transparency, and responsibility: you can find a detailed Disbursement Report on this initiative by clicking here.

one week from today, Wednesday, October the 6th, construction on Peace & Love International's first holistic empowerment centre for marginalized sisters and brothers will commence. The total cost for building is 41073.70 Rands or 6046.90 Canadian Dollars. We have a budget of 0. we will find a way to make this happen by Wednesday. if you would like to chip in and share too, or want to share this with someone who you think might, the community would be grateful. every penny is vital, and this is the week we prove it.

This month has been perhaps the most exciting and active month we have had to date as it marks the launch of two very unique empowerment initiatives. On July 11th, Peace & Love International will launch an exhibition by the name of CONTRASTING NARRATIVES, showcasing the conditions which most impoverished South Africans live in, while attempting to raise awareness about how by sharing privilege we can empower the less privileged around us. The event will also be host to raising funds to establish a unique, holistic and empowering vocational scholarship as well as a community education initiative through an international co-op based and born out of Soweto, South Africa. The event will take place at 12:30 @ Butterfly Studios, Cape Town, South Africa.
July also marks the launch of another initiative called Smile Education which will provide for the oral hygiene education, cleaning, and check up of children from Fisantekraal, one of the most marginalized and underprivileged communities in Cape Town. Please keep your eyes on our website for new update. If you would like to support any of these initiatives, you can do so by scrolling to the bottom on any page on our website!
